Mia started in 2009, when I was just finishing my university degree of design. I had a vision of creating
a large unique stationary store. I was working towards my vision for a long time before I caught my
wind and my idea started to take shape. The first thing I did was to create a name, which after a long day of stressing it seemed to just be rude to not
name it after my caring grandmother, Mia Johnson, who inspired me to continue my dream.
My shop just started off on the balcony of my house in Parramatta, I sent out flyers, advertised
my company in newspapers and on several online websites. I had some overwhelmed parents
calling up and sending me emails for my products as their children absolutely adored my first ever product
my 'Purple Creature'. After this surge I decided to try and create my own website but the old
website didn't do the job of portraying my company to its best standards.
Soon after I created my first website I had the opportunity to open my first store although I
didn’t have the wide variety of products to display me store still continues to flourish.  It has
been a couple of years later and I have added a couple of more products to my range in the store.
My company is growing still and I am very pleased with the work I have completed.
